Where laughter, chaos, and beautiful photos collide.
Welcome to the Madness (a.k.a. My Photography Blog)
Hi, I’m Holly! I’m a photographer based in Troy, Ohio, and if you’ve landed here, congratulations—you’ve officially entered a world where golden sunsets, goofy smiles, and the occasional toddler meltdown all get equal billing.
Let me tell you a secret...
photography isn’t just about clicking a button. It’s about chasing kids who run faster than I do, convincing groomsmen that “serious face” isn’t actually their best look, and somehow managing to keep my camera steady while laughing at dad jokes. (Spoiler: I laugh at my own jokes, too.)
Serving up smiles one corny joke at a time.
Say Cheese… and Laugh!
Why did the photographer get kicked out of the party?
Because they kept flashing everyone!
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually plotting how to make sessions feel less like “posing for photos” and more like “hanging out with a friend who just happens to be obsessed with capturing your best angles.” My goal? To make you laugh, relax, and forget you’re even in front of a camera—because that’s when the magic happens.
This blog is where I’ll share:
- Sneak peeks from sessions (the sweet, the silly, and the “how did that even happen?” moments).
- Behind‑the‑scenes chaos (like the time I tripped over my own camera bag mid‑shoot and played it off like modern dance).
- Tips and tricks for making your session fun (spoiler: bribing kids with snacks works 99% of the time).
- And maybe a few personal stories, because life is too short not to laugh at yourself.
So buckle up, friends—this is going to be a joyful, colorful, slightly chaotic ride. I promise plenty of laughter, a sprinkle of inspiration, and photos that will make you smile every time you see them.
And because no blog post is complete without a little cheesy humor…
Photography joke of the day:
Why did the photographer go broke?
Because they kept working for exposure!
Until next time, keep smiling, keep laughing, and may all your group photos have at least one person with their eyes open
Thanks for hanging out with me here — I hope you laughed, smiled, and maybe even learned a thing or two along the way. My favorite part of photography isn’t just the pictures, it’s the people and the stories that make them shine.
If you’re ready to create your own joyful, silly, or downright magical memories, I’d love to be the one to capture them. Until then, keep smiling, keep laughing, and don’t forget: life’s best moments usually happen when no one’s looking (except maybe me, hiding behind my camera).
With joy + a little sparkle,
Holly
